Reclaiming The Stitch
Perfection is not the goal
Knitting – or crochet, or spinning, or weaving, or sewing, or whatever’s your favourite craft – should be calming, right?
There’s so much science backing up the positive mental health aspects of creating with your hands, of repetitive motions, of the meditative counting of stitches as you go.
So how come I still manage to make it stressful? And is it just me, or can you relate?
That’s what this blog is about – how we can overcome our self-doubt and perfectionism, and keep getting all the good stuff.
Some of the things that I’ll be writing about

Crafting for our life
Mental health benefits, environmental/sustainability, being connected with our heritage. Maybe some money saving angles as well.

Perfectionism and other things
The lessons that I need to learn – how to get un-stuck, how to value what I’ve made, how to enjoy the process and not let it become yet another chore/todo list item.

The messy journey
It doesn’t look pretty while it’s in progress, and sometimes it doesn’t look pretty at the end either! I’ll be sharing my current projects – warts and all. And I’d love to see yours.
